The console story

PlayStation emerged after Sony’s proposed CD collaboration with Nintendo ended. Sony Computer Entertainment launched its own console in Japan in December 1994.[1]

CD capacity supported recorded music, video and larger game worlds. The controller evolved from a digital pad to analog controls and the vibrating DualShock.[1]
